Cutting/Merging Paths

Cutting Path

A single Path can be cut into two Paths by selecting the "Cut" button and clicking a Path surface. The operation yields two aligned Paths which are completely independent (i.e. not connected).

Merging Paths

Conversely, two Paths can be merged into one. This is done by selecting two Paths and clicking the "Merge" button. This operation aligns the two Paths and combines them into one. If PathDescriptions differ between the combined Paths, a prompt will be shown allowing you to select the PathDescription you want used for the merged Path. All other Path connections will remain as they were prior to the merge.

Like in the Connect operation, the first selected Path is deformed to align with the second one.
